That is really neat to read how well Schaeffer listened to people. It's true...we don't listen well. Sadly, it is easy to formulate a response while the other person is talking. I wonder if this is because we are afraid of pauses and silences. I know this is true for me sometimes. I would like to continue to become a more compassionate listener.

Very true. It is so frustrating to try to share thoughts on media because the vocal and facial nuances are not there, so misinterpreting is so easy
